Southport Market Blinds was established in 2007 by George and Pat Shacklady, who initially operated from Southport’s famous indoor market.
They ran the business very successfully (with their son Andrew), creating a large customer base along the way due to their excellent service and ongoing relationships with their customers.
In 2019, George and Pat finally accepted retirement. The business was taken on by local Southport couple Steve and Tracey Haw.
Southport Market Blinds has now expanded to a new shop at 24-26 King Street. This new, larger premises offers a wider choice and selection of products, whilst very much maintaining our competitive pricing and personal relationships with the customers.
Steve and Tracey take great pride in creating a personal service and relationship with every customer. They offer a free measuring and fitting service to their customers because they understand how important it is to deliver a professional, personable, reliable and affordable service from start to finish.
Following the initial contact, we will arrange a home visit or site inspection where you can see, touch and feel the many fabrics and products that we offer, alongside providing a free measure and quotation service.
Once you have confirmed your choice of blind and fabric, we then manufacture your blinds and arrange a mutually convenient date and time to complete your installation.
We aim to ensure the potential hazards posed by unrestrained cords and chains are understood and eliminated.
In line with current legislation, we carefully consider every blind on an individual basis, to ensure child safety is an essential feature. The home should be a place where children are safe and protected. Children naturally love to climb, explore and play and the possible risks may not be immediately obvious.
